Two Brazos Valley charitable organizations each received $20,000 raised by a March 26, 2018 benefit golf tournament hosted by the Texas A&M student chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America, a leading industry group.

At a brief ceremony on the steps of Francis Hall, the home of [construction science] (https://www.facebook.com/TAMUAGC/) education at Texas A&M, AGC students distributed tournament proceeds to representatives from the Bryan/College Station chapter of [Rebuilding Together] (http://www.rebuildingtogetherbcs.org/) , a volunteer group that performs no-cost home repairs of low-income veterans and elderly and disabled individuals, and the [Sexual Assault Resource Center] (http://www.sarcbv.org/) , which supports survivors of sexual violence.

The tournament, which took place at The Golf Club at Texas A&M, had 104 participants and was supported by 25 sponsors, including some of the region’s largest building contractors.

In addition to hosting the tournament, members of the student AGC chapter perform other community service projects, host lectures featuring executives from top builders, organize construction site tours and provide networking opportunities with leading builders.
