First-year environmental design students at Texas A&M explore the relationship between geometry and architecture in “The Power of Limits: The Translation From Geometry to Architectural Space” at the university’s Memorial Student Center Stark Galleries through March 24, 2017.

An exhibit reception featuring the student designers is scheduled 4:30 – 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 7.

The pieces were created in fall 2015, spring 2016 and fall 2016 studios led by Negar Kalantar and Alireza Borhani, faculty members in the Department of Architecture.

Students fabricated their designs, ranging from 3-D printed pieces to medium-scale interlocking vaulted, concrete prototypes, at the College of Architecture Woodshop and the Automated Fabrication and Design Lab at the Texas A&M RELLIS Campus.
