Holidays bring opportunity for end-of-year donations to college

Larry Zuber

At year’s end, many Texas A&M College of Architecture former students honor their professors by including the college in their charitable giving.

“Former students remember what a faculty mentor did for them when they were in school and they want to honor their professors when they are ready to give back to the university,” said Larry Zuber, the university’s development officer for the college.

The college has a series of endowed funds named in honor of current and past faculty members.  These endowments are unique in that each was started by former students with the express purpose of encouraging their classmates to join them in honoring special faculty members in a personal, meaningful way.

Each fund will be a permanent source of support for the specific purpose laid out by the original donors.

Former students are encouraged to join them with a year-end tax-deductible gift to the endowments listed below.  Each has a link to the foundation’s online giving page for gifts by credit card.  For those wishing to make a gift by check or appreciated securities or who have questions about creating an endowment to support the College of Architecture or any of its departments or programs, please contact Zuber at lzuber@txamfoundation.com or 979.845.0939.
