Busses loaded with of upper level Texas A&M construction science students fanned out across the state Nov. 13, 2015, setting a departmental field day record while providing students with firsthand views at the latest construction, material production and manufacturing practices.

In all, more than 400 students traveled on ten chartered busses to a variety of venues including a hotel construction site, a hospital expansion, a 50-story office tower project and metal building manufacturer. Students also visited a top-of-the-line computer aided virtual environment facility, and several other sites.

“The camaraderie and fellowship make the trips fun for all,” said George Eustace, the department’s industry relations coordinator.
