CoSci prof accepts editor post at construction management journal

Recently appointed to the editorial board of the [Journal of Construction Engineering and Management] (http://ascelibrary.org/loi/jcemd4) , Kunhee Choi, assistant professor of construction science at Texas A&M University, will review scholarly papers about construction project scheduling and cost estimating as the journal's assistant specialty editor.

Published by the American Society of Civil Engineers and widely regarded as one of the top journals in its field, the journal  includes papers that advance the science of construction engineering, harmonize construction practices with design theories, and contribute to education and research in construction engineering and management.

A member of Texas A&M’s faculty since 2010, Choi is interested in transportation infrastructure construction and project management. His work investigates unique building challenges facing state transportation agencies and the business sector focusing on infrastructure modeling, optimization and information technology to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the U.S. transporation system.

Choi earned a Ph.D. in civil and environmental engineering at the University of California-Berkeley in 2008, a [Master of Science in Construction Management] (http://www.arch.tamu.edu/prospective/graduate/#MS-ConstructionManagement) at Texas A&M in 2002 and a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering at Korea University in 1999.
