On March 25th, Dave Walvoord and Jim Conrads met with students, faculty, and staff to discuss plans for this summer’s upcoming DreamWorks animation course. Each year, students taking the Summer Industry Course (VIZA 627) get the opportunity to work with artists, technical supervisors and other talented professionals from the CG industry. Last year, students worked with Disney Animation Studios. This year, students will work with individuals from DreamWorks to produce animated shorts based upon a story idea developed by DreamWorks.
Before leaving campus, Jim Conrads, DreamWorks outreach supervisor, met with students to discuss the importance of properly constructed demo reels and other materials needed to market one’s self for a job in the CG industry.
